How To

Forms Manager in Legacy Environments

Windows XP

Windows XP (released in 2001) integrated Internet Explorer so deeply that the old operating system will not upgrade to 9 or 10. It is impractical to build a new platform to Internet Explorer 8 standards (it would be a miserable experience), so Forms Manager prompts old-browser users to "Upgrade your browser today or install Google Chrome Frame to better experience this site." Firefox and Chrome bring modern browser standards to the operating system.

Internet Explorer 8

The Forms Manager website is fully functional in Internet Explorer 8, however, the visual experience is compromised. Internet Explorer 8 and older browsers do not support current web standards and styles, therefore, the the Form Updates tab floats inside of the right edge of the screen and is partially hidden by the Preview form box when "pulled out".

Recommendations

Install Firefox or Chrome if possible. Install Google Chrome Frame if those aren't an option. If your company's computer security policies prevent you from upgrading your system, please consult with your IT department for viable alternative access methods.
